Huaqin Completed Series B Fundraising – aim to become Leader in the Global Intelligent Hardware Industry

Huaqin Communications Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huaqin”) announced today the closing of its Series B round of funding, raising more than 1 billion RMB from some renowned investors including Qualcomm Ventures, the venture investment arm of Qualcomm Incorporated, Intel Capital, SinoKing Capital, Summitview Capital, Wise Road Capital, Zhangjiang Hi-tech, Minhe Capital, CMB International, and China Merchants Securities.

The funding will be used by Huaqin to build a global platform for intelligent hardware, which will involve research and development of full-spectrum intelligent devices for the global electronic industry and design of products for the era of artificial intelligence (AI), 5G and Internet of Things (IoT). Furthermore, Huaqin will empower its global partners to create a brand-new global platform for intelligent, connected hardware.

In the coming years, Huaqin plans to work with its investors to carry out the innovations and R&Ds of a variety of intelligent devices and IoT products for use in the commercial 5G environment, while collaborating with its strategic partners to focus on data devices such as always connected laptop computers and servers.
