The eight-week program The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was developed by Professor John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts in the 70s of the last century. The goal of the program is to combat stress, depression, and physical pain. The MBSR system is based on Buddhist meditation practices.
